Presentation of a Commendation recognizing 150'h Scottish Games <br /> Councilmember Pentin presented the proclamation and invited several members of the Caledonian <br /> Club of San Francisco Scottish Games forward to speak. <br /> Alan Purves stated that Caledonia Club of San Francisco Scottish Games relocated from Santa Rosa <br /> to the City of Pleasanton on Labor Day of 1994. Since then the city has been a truly wonderful host and <br /> he is proud to be celebrating both 22 years in Pleasanton and sesquicentennial of the games. <br /> Floyd Busby thanked Pleasanton for its continued support and said he looked forward to enjoying the <br /> event that they have spent the past year putting together. <br /> David Scott said it is a privilege to be involved with the city, who has proven to be a wonderful host, and <br /> said he looked forward to many more years of enjoyable games. <br /> Mr. Busby explained that he is deeply involved with the American Friends of Erskine, a U.S. based <br /> organization supporting Scottish Erskine Hospital. He said the hospital was founded in 1916 to address <br /> the needs of military personnel and veterans injured in war.
