Subject: FW: Vote NO for Rezoning
Attachments: City Council Agenda Report for Ponderosa Ho iSL N.
Provided
eilf it OhVi/Ll931A1.
to the City Council
From: Lou Astbury []
After Distribution of Packet
Sent: Tuesday, October 06, 2015 10:06 AM OCT 0 6 101§
To: Mayor and City Council Date
Subject: Vote NO for Rezoning
•
In the City's recent poll residents have confirmed that the #1 concern is too much growth and development in
Pleasanton. Vote NO to rezone the Centerpointe property. Any other vote would be a gross refusal to follow the
wishes of your electorate in favor of developers. There is no need for more housing beyond what is already in the
pipeline due to:
1. Traffic
2. Crowded schools
3. Drought- We already have to reduce our water use by 25% and we are losing not only our lawns but many
beautiful trees. There is no immediate solution to this problem as over the past 25 years California has added 10
million people but not improved our water supply infrastructure. The State and City must do more to increase our
water supply and capture more of the water running off into the Pacific.
Long term solutions are needed before considering any additional housing. Thanks for your consideration.
Best Regards,
Lou Astbury
Click here to report this email as spam.
1
