CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-097 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE PER <br />CAPITA GRANT PROGRAM UNDER THE CALIFORNIA CLEAN WATER, <br />CLEAN AIR, SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, AND COSTAL PROTECTION <br />ACT OF 2002 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the people of the State of California enacted the California Clean Water, Clean <br />Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks, and Costal Protection act of 2002, which provides <br />funds for the Per Capita Grant Program to eligible applicants; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the California Departmem of Parks and Recreation has been delegated <br />responsibility for administration of the program, the Grant Project shown above, <br />and setting up necessary procedures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said procedures established by the California Departmem of Parks and Recreation <br />require the applicant's governing body to certify by Resolution the approval of an <br />application for submission to the State; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into a contract with the State of California for the project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Section 2: <br />Section 3. <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />Approves the filing of an application for local assistance funds from the Per Capita <br />Grant Program under the Caiifomia Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood <br />Parks, and Coastal Protection Act of 2002. <br /> <br />Certifies that the applicant has or will have sufficient funds to operate and <br />maintain the project. <br /> <br />Certifies that the applicant has reviewed, understands and agrees to the General <br />Provisions contained in the contract shown in the Procedural Guide. <br /> <br />Authorizes the City Manager to act as the City's agent in conducting all <br />negotiations, and executing and submitting all required documents including, but <br /> <br /> <br />
