RESOLUTION NO. 15-779 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> APPROVING PAY SCHEDULE FOR CONFIDENTIAL AND MANAGEMENT <br /> EMPLOYEES, RATIFYING PREVIOUS PAY SCHEDULES, AND RATIFYING <br /> AMENDMENT OF THE MANAGEMENT COMPENSATION PLAN RELATING TO <br /> INELIGIBILITY FOR RETIREE MEDICAL BENEFITS IN CERTAIN INSTANCES <br /> WHEREAS, the California Code of Regulations provision implementing the California <br /> Public Employees' Retirement Law requires adoption at a public meeting by the governing body <br /> of pay schedules of its employees; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Management Compensation Plan provision relating to ineligibility for <br /> retiree medical benefits of Confidential and Management employees who retire and then <br /> become.employed by another CaIPERS agency was recently amended and should be ratified <br /> by the City Council. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The attached Pay Schedule, dated July 1, 2015, is hereby approved, and <br /> previous Pay Schedules, also attached and dated September 3, 2011, September 1, 2012, <br /> December 7, 2013, and September 13, 2014, are hereby ratified. <br /> SECTION 2. The first paragraph of Section 5.3 of the Management Compensation <br /> Plan dated February 27, 2015, is hereby ratified effective February 27, 2015, and reads as <br /> follows: <br /> "5.3 Retire Medical Benefit Eligibility <br /> Employees who retire from the City of Pleasanton (i.e. under the CaIPERS retirement <br /> system, Government Code Section 20000 et seq.) are eligible for retiree medical <br /> benefits. Retirement from Pleasanton means a retirement effective date through PERS <br /> no more than 120 days after separation from the City of Pleasanton. Retirees who <br /> subsequently rescind their CaIPERS retirement forfeit this retiree medical benefit <br /> eligibility." <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on August 18, 2015. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 18`h day of August <br /> 2015, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thome <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br /> • <br />
