u - <br /> 40 40 <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO . 74-174 <br /> A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, the Federal Bureau of Investigation annually prepares <br /> a Uniform Crime Report covering seven major crime <br /> categories, including homicide , rape, robbery, assault, <br /> burglary, all thefts regardless of value and auto <br /> thefts; and <br /> WHEREAS , the Federal Bureau of Investigation 's Uniform Crime <br /> Report for 1973 has been issued; and <br /> WHEREAS, said report shows that for all cities in Southern <br /> 1 Alameda County, including Union City, Livermore, <br /> Fremont, Hayward and Pleasanton, the City of Pleasanton <br /> has the lowest incidence of major crimes reported; and <br /> WHEREAS, this information has been brought to the attention of <br /> the City Council of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton wishes to <br /> commend the Police Chief and the Police Department for <br /> the fine job which they have done in making the City <br /> of Pleasanton the most crime-free city in Southern <br /> Alameda County. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1 . The Chief of Police and members of the City of <br /> Pleasanton Police Department are commended for the outstanding <br /> manner in which they have performed their duties in keeping the <br /> City of Pleasanton as the most crime-free city in Southern <br /> Alameda County according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation ' s 1 <br /> Uniform Crime Report for 1973 . <br />
