411 410 <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> MSTATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-163 <br /> A RESOLUTION REITERATING AND REAFFIRMING THE OPPOSITION <br /> OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL TO THE ESTABLISH- <br /> MENT, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A SOLID WASTE LANDFILL <br /> OPERATION ON KAISER SAND AND GRAVEL COMPANY LAND ADJACENT <br /> TO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, on December 4 , 1972 , by Resolution <br /> No. 72-205 reiterated its position of opposition to the <br /> establishment of a regional dump by Kaiser Sand and Gravel <br /> Company adjacent to the City limits of the City of <br /> Pleasanton; and <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 73-35, adopted on March 12 , 1973 , the <br /> City Council approved of and joined in the appeal by <br /> Zone 7 of the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Con- <br /> servation District from action taken by the Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board approving and establishing <br /> standards for the operation and maintenance of a solid <br /> waste landfill operation on property owned by Kaiser Sand <br /> and Gravel Company adjacent to the Pleasanton City limits <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, this matter was heard by the State Water Resources Control <br /> Board and unanimous denial of the project was given by <br /> said board; and <br /> WHEREAS, this matter will be coming before the State Water Resour- <br /> ces Control Board again as a result of litigation by <br /> Kaiser Sand and Gravel Company against the adverse deci- <br /> sion of the State Water Resources Control Board; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to reaffirm its position with <br /> respect to its opposition to the aforementioned solid <br /> waste landfill operation; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />
