CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-146 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br /> 1974 STATE GRANT FUNDS FOR FIVE (5) PARK <br /> PROJECTS . <br /> WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the <br /> "State Beach, Park, Recreational , and Historical <br /> Facilities Bond Act of 1974 which provides funds to <br /> the State of California and its political subdivisions <br /> for acquiring lands and developing facilities for public <br /> outdoor recreation and historical purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been <br /> delegated the responsibility for the administration of <br /> the program within the State , settng up necessary <br /> procedures governing application by local agencies <br /> under the program; and <br /> WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify <br /> by resolution the approval of applications prior to <br /> submission of said applications to the State; and <br /> WHEREAS , said applications contain assurances that the applicant <br /> must comply with; and <br /> WHEREAS, said procedures further require the applicant to <br /> possess an adopted plan showing parks and recreation <br /> lands and facilities, existing and proposed; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City 's General Plan was first adopted by the City <br /> Council on September 16 , 1968 ; and <br /> ' WHEREAS, the project must be compatible with the land use plans <br /> of those jurisdictions immediately surrounding the <br /> project. <br />
