CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-130 <br /> A RESOLUTION ALLOWING STAFF TO REMOVE DEAD <br /> TREES WITHOUT THE NECESSITY OF A PUBLIC <br /> HEARING BY THE CITY COUNCIL UNDER THE TERMS <br /> OF THE HERITAGE TREE ORDINANCE . <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a policy of holding a <br /> public hearing regarding the removal of trees which <br /> fall within the Heritage Tree classification set forth <br /> in Chapter 10 , Title II of the Ordinance Code of the <br /> City of Pleasanton; and <br /> WHEREAS, the present policy requires the holding Of a public <br /> • hearing by the City Council to consider the removal <br /> of dead trees; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that dead trees , <br /> although they fall within the Heritage Tree classifi- <br /> cation , should be removed by staff without the neces- <br /> sity of a public hearing. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS `FOLLOWS : <br /> Section 1 . Any tree falling within the Heritage Tree Ordinance , <br /> /Chapter 10 , Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasan- <br /> ton , which is a dead tree , may be removed by the City staff without <br /> the necessity of holding a public hearing by the City Council . <br /> Section 2 . This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption . <br /> DATED: June 10 , 1974 <br /> ATTEST: S .
