RESOLUTION NO. 15-766 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO STOP <br /> THE EAST PLEASANTON SPECIFIC PLAN (EPSP) PLANNING AND <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW PROCESS; HAVE THE EPSP PROCESS CONSIDERED <br /> AS PART OF THE CITY COUNCIL'S REGULAR PRIORITY SETTING; AND STOP <br /> WORK, THANK AND DISBAND THE EPSP TASK FORCE <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton's General Plan Land Use Program 6.1 discusses the <br /> preparation of a Specific Plan for East Pleasanton, and in 2012 the City began a study for the <br /> East Pleasanton Specific Plan (EPSP) area, and created a task force to assist in planning and <br /> environmental review; and <br /> WHEREAS, the planning process has involved a significant effort by task force <br /> members, as well as members of the public, to become informed about the EPSP, as well as an <br /> investment by property owners to pay for City staff to coordinate environmental review; and <br /> WHEREAS, while the efforts of the involved residents, community members, property <br /> owners, task force members, members of the public and other officials has brought forward <br /> important information, the City Council will stop its consideration of the EPSP and related EIR <br /> due to a range of community concerns. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Stop the planning process for the East Pleasanton Specific Plan and the <br /> related environmental review process. <br /> SECTION 2. Any future decision to restart the EPSP process shall occur as part of <br /> future regular City Council priority setting meetings. <br /> SECTION 3. Acknowledge all of the time and effort of the EPSP Task Force members, <br /> thank them for their service, and stop further work and disband the EPSP Task Force. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on June 16, 2015. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on June 16, 2015, by the <br /> following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: Councilmember Narum <br /> Abstain: None <br /> Recused: Councilmember Olson ` / <br /> of <br /> Karen Dia , City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> lbw <br /> e Harryman, Acting City Attorney <br />
