THE CITY OF <br /> ® _ r i,�r CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 9 <br /> pL£ASANTONO <br /> June 16, 2015 <br /> Community Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AND PLEASANTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT REGARDING THE <br /> SHARED USE OF THE TENNIS COURTS AT AMADOR VALLEY HIGH <br /> SCHOOL <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The proposed shared use of the tennis courts at Amador Valley High School is a joint <br /> project between the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Unified School District <br /> (PUSD). The term is for an initial six (6) month trial period from June 2015 through <br /> December 2015. <br /> At the end of the six month trial, the agreement may be extended and/or expanded to <br /> include the tennis courts at Foothill High School after December 13, 2015 if the District <br /> and the City find the shared use mutually acceptable. <br /> On April 27, 2015, staff presented the draft Agreement at the joint meeting of the City <br /> Council and Board of Trustees. Both the City Council and Board of Trustees agreed to <br /> forward the Agreement to both the Board of Trustees and the City Council for further <br /> review and discussion. On May 26, 2015, the Board of Trustees approved the <br /> Agreement and requested that it be forwarded to the City Council on June 16, 2015 for <br /> their final review and consideration. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> That the City Council approve the Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and <br /> Pleasanton Unified School District for the City's Shared Use of Amador Valley High <br /> School Tennis Courts <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Please note that during this trial period, that there will be no charge for the public's drop- <br /> in use of the tennis courts. Therefore, the City and/or the District will not be receiving <br /> any compensation or capital improvements as part of this agreement. In the event of an <br /> extension and/or expansion of this Agreement, both parties may desire to include such <br /> consideration. <br />
