Subject FW: East Pleasanton Specific Plan SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
From: Lynn Kriegbaum [m] /
Sent: Monday, June 01, 2015 2:40 PM Date ,.,_.p-z'__ !3
To: Mayor and City Council
Subject: East Pleasanton Specific Plan
Mayor Thorne and Councilmembers,
As was so evidenced in the three public meetings and the overflowing chamber at the Council meeting on May 19th,
Pleasanton residents do not support moving forward with the East Pleasanton Specific Plan. At the May 19th Council
meeting, you voted to halt the EIR process and let the residents decide the fate of this project by putting it on the ballot
this November. I have recently been made aware that there will be significant cost incurred by the City to have this
included on the November ballot.
I am requesting that at the meeting on June 2 you vote to :
• Halt the East Pleasanton Specific Plan EIR process for now per your vote at the last meeting;
• Ask the EPSP Task Force to finalize their recommended plan and present it to the City Council;
• Place a moratorium on this project until such time as the drought emergency is over(as declared by the
State and the City) AND our aquifer has replenished to pre-drought levels; and
• When the above criteria is met, then and only then, schedule the ballot measure for a time that does not
incur significant cost and let the people make the decision on whether or not East Pleasanton be re-zoned
for massive development.
Thank You,
Lynn Kriegbaum
Pleasanton, CA 94588
Click here to report this email as spam.
i
