CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA CO0~qTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 748 AN ORDINANCE ADDING ~1.1.14 TO CHAPTER 1 (GENERAL PROVI- SIONS), OF TITLE I (ADMINISTRATION) OF THE O~DINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON PERTAINING TO MISDEMEANOR SANCTIONS ON PERSONS WHO WILFULLY AND MALICIOUSLY PROVIDE OR RECEIVE PERSONAL DATA FROM THE CRIMINAL ORIENTED RECORDS PRODUCTION UNIFIED SYSTEM (CORPUS) ~qHEREAS, the County of Alameda has advised the City Council that it is in the process of adopting an ordinance relating to the Criminal Oriented Records Production Unified System (hereinafter referred to as "CORPUS"; and WHEREAS, the County requests that the City adopt an ordinance similar to said County ordinance in order to have an effective system throughout the County; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1.1.14, Criminal Oriented Records Production Unified System (CORPUS) Violations, is hereby added to Chapter 1 (General Provisions), Title I (Administration) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to read as follows: "S1.1.14 Criminal Oriented Records Production Unified System (CORPUS) Violations. Any un authorized person who wilfully and mali- ciously obtains personal data from the Criminal Oriented Records Production Unified System (CORPUS) is guilty of a misdemeanor. Any person who wilfully and maliciously provides or has provided personal data from the Criminal Oriented Records Produc- tion Unified System (CORPUS) to any un- authorized person is guilty of a misdemeanor." Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective 30 days after its passage and adoption. Section 3. This ordinance shall be published once in ~'THE TIMES," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, within fifteen days after its adoption.
