G. Commissioners shall be compensated as established by city council resolution or as allowed <br /> by state law. <br /> Chapter 3.32 Alternative Bidding Procedures Under the Uniform Public Construction Cost <br /> Accounting Act <br /> Section 3.32.010 Contracting procedures for public projects. <br /> A. Public projects of$45,000.00 or less may be performed by the employees of the city by <br /> force account, by negotiated contract or by purchase order. <br /> B. Public projects of$175,000.00 or less may be let to contract by informal procedures as set <br /> forth in Section 22032 et seq., of the Public Contract Code. <br /> C. Public projects of more than $175,000.00 shall, except as otherwise set forth in Section <br /> 22032 et seq., of the Public Contract Code, be let to contract by formal bidding procedure. <br /> Chapter 6.40 Taxicabs <br /> Section 6.40.020 Certificate of public convenience or necessity required. <br /> It is unlawful for any person to engage in the business of operating any taxicab in the city without obtaining a <br /> valid certificate of public convenience and necessity. All persons applying for such a certificate shall file with the <br /> police department an application which shall set forth: <br /> A. The name,address and phone number of the owner,person applying and all persons financially <br /> interested in the operation of said taxicabs. Notice to Remove Litter. If the owner or person in control of any private property in the city <br /> fails to remove therefrom all litter which is located on the property and which is dangerous to the public <br /> health, safety or welfare, it shall be the duty of the enforcement officer to notify such person or persons to <br /> remove the same. Such notice shall be by regular mail and shall be deposited in the United States Post <br /> Office at Pleasanton, California, with postage thereon prepaid and addressed to such owner at his or her <br /> last known place of address shown on the assessment roll of the city,and if no such address is there <br /> shown or is known,then to General Delivery, Pleasanton. If such real property is occupied and the <br /> mailing address thereof is different from that of the owner on the assessment roll,then an additional copy <br /> shall be similarly mailed to the occupant of such property at the mailing address thereof. Such notice shall <br /> contain a description of said property; such description may be the number of the lot and block and the <br /> name of the map,tract or subdivision in which the real property lies,or may be the street and number <br /> thereof, or may be any other description by which the property may be reasonably and readily identified. <br /> One or more lots or blocks of land may be described in one and the same statement or notice. <br /> B. Removal of Litter by City. If the owner or person in control of the real property in the city <br /> fails to remove litter in accordance with the notice given pursuant to the provisions of subsection A of this <br /> section within 10 days after the mailing of such notice, it shall be the duty of the enforcement officer,his <br /> or her assistants, employees, contracting agents or other representatives of the city,to remove such litter, <br /> and they, and each of them, are expressly authorized to enter upon private property for such purpose,and <br /> it is unlawful for any person to interfere, hinder or refuse to allow them to enter upon private property for <br /> such purpose and to remove litter in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
