10. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 15-740 accepting the final park design for the <br /> Essex Properties mixed-use residential/commercial development project (PUD-81-30-86D) <br /> located at the corner of Gibraltar Drive and Hacienda Drive, and authorizing the City Manager to <br /> accept grant of park to city and to take all necessary and related actions to effectuate such <br /> transfer <br /> 10a. Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> Economic Development <br /> • <br /> 11. Public Hearing of protest concerning renewal of the Tri-Valley Tourism Marketing District and <br /> Levy of an Assessment on Lodging Businesses within the District <br /> Mayor Thome opened the public hearing. <br /> Tom Walker, Rose Hotel, requested that the current Tri-Valley Tourism Business Improvement District <br /> (TBID) threshold of 35 rooms be transferred to the new Tourism Marketing District. The request is <br /> driven by the desire to exclude the 34-room Rose Hotel from the additional $2 tax that would be levied <br /> on lodging businesses within the District. He explained that as a limited-service upscale boutique-style <br /> hotel which caters to upper level business executives and their clients, neither The Rose Hotel nor its <br /> guests benefit from or are influenced by the amenities or promotional channels on which the District is <br /> focused. <br /> Mayor Thorne closed the public hearing. <br /> Finance <br /> 12. Accepted monthly disbursements and investment report for February 2015 <br /> 13. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 15-741 approving the Investment Policy and <br /> Guidelines of the City of Pleasanton <br /> Fire <br /> 14. Public Hearing of protests related to the annual Weed Abatement Program and order to abate <br /> public nuisances — Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 15-742 authorizing the <br /> abatement of weeds, dirt, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain described properties with <br /> the City of Pleasanton <br /> Operation Services <br /> 15. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute an amendment to extend the agreement <br /> with Pleasanton Golf, LLC (CourseCo, Inc.) to operator the golf course <br /> 16. Approved the purchase of three (3) leaf loaders from American Roads Machinery Company in the <br /> amount of$191,309.13 <br /> 17. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a first amendment to as needed <br /> maintenance and trade services agreement with St. Francis Electric for the amount not to exceed <br /> $125,000 <br /> 18. <br /> City Council Minutes Page 2 of 11 April 21, 2015 <br />
