ORDINANCE NO. 2115 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ADDING TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 14.06 REGULATION OF RECYCLED WATER USE WHEREAS, recycled water is a beneficial alternative to potable water for the uses for which it is intended, and the use of recycled water also preserves the limited supply of potable water; and WHEREAS, use of recycled water is regulated by the California Code of Regulations, Health & Safety Code, and Water Code; and WHEREAS, the Regional Water Quality Control Board requires the City to adopt regulations for the use of recycled water in order to obtain the City's general order (permit) to distribute recycled water; and WHEREAS, the City's regulations for the use of recycled water also coordinates with the regulations of the Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD). NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Adds to Pleasanton Municipal Code Title 14 Water, a new Chapter 14.06 Regulation of Recycled Water Use, as set forth the attached Exhibit A. Section 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times", a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage and adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on April 21, 2015 and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on May 5, 2015 by the following vote.
