._ <br /> 411 411 <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-100 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING KENNEDY ENGINEERS TO COMPLETE THE <br /> INTERCEPTOR PROJECT REPORT <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has been required to pursue a <br /> phaseout of its sewage treatment plant; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Federal guidelines, the firm of Kennedy <br /> Engineers has looked at various alternative means of <br /> phasing out this plant; and <br /> WHEREAS, the two most viable projects include an interceptor and <br /> connection to the Valley Community Services District <br /> plant, while the other is the alternative of building <br /> the City' s own plant at a new location; and <br /> WHEREAS, Kennedy Engineers has completed the first draft of <br /> Volume 1 of 4 of the final project report of the City ' s <br /> phaseout of its sewage treatment plant; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary for Kennedy Engineers to proceed with <br /> the second phase of the project report; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Kennedy Engineers is authorized to proceed with Volume <br /> 2 Environmental Impact Report regarding the two most <br /> viable alternatives. established in its report entitled <br /> Volume 1 (Selection of most Viable Alternatives) , <br /> Volume 3 (Best Apparent Project) and Volume 4 (Financial <br /> Plan and Revenue Program) . <br /> Section 2. The sum of $80 ,000 is hereby appropriated for the <br /> sewer phaseout fund to pay for the preparation of Volumes <br /> 2, _3 and 4 of the above report. <br /> I I <br /> II <br />
