Attachment 1 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON MODIFYING THE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT PLAN OF THE TRI-VALLEY TOURISM MARKETING DISTRICT WHEREAS, on December 5, 2005 the City Council of the City of Pleasanton adopted the Management District Plan (MDP) and established the Tri-Valley Tourism Business Improvement District; and WHEREAS, on June 15, 2010 the City Council modified the MDP and renewed the Tri-Valley Tourism Business Improvement District; and WHEREAS, the Property and Business Improvement District Law of 1994, Streets and Highways Code §36600 et seq., allows cities to modify the MDP at the request of the owners' association; and WHEREAS, the district's owners' association, the Tri-Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau (TVCVB), known also as Visit Tri-Valley (VTV), has requested modification of the MDP and the renewed district be called the Tri-Valley Tourism Marketing District; and WHEREAS, on February 17, 2015 the City Council adopted a Resolution of Intention to Renew the Tri-Valley Tourism Marketing District and Fixing the Time and Place of Public Hearings, Resolution No. 15-732 (Resolution of Intention); and WHEREAS, the Resolution of Intention was published and mailed in accordance with Streets and Highways Code Section 36636; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing at its regular meetings on April 21, 2015 and May 5, 2015 regarding the proposed modification to the MDP. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. The City Council hereby modifies the Management District Plan as attached hereto as Exhibit A. The modification of the TVTMD MDP will shorten the duration of the current TVTBID, from five years to four years and 350 days, and will cause the current TVTBID to expire on June 30, 2015. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on May 5, 2015.
