Redesigned Public Park and Amenities The redesigned 0.58-acre public park is larger in size, continues to align with a future dedicated 10-foot trail that will connect the project to its sister site located at the southeast corner of Owens Drive and Willow Road, and is located in the same general location as the previously approved park. Please refer to Image 3 below or Attachment 2. Similar to the previous design, the public would be able to access the park through the dedicated trail on the west side of the park or through various access paths on the south side of the park, north of Gibraltar Drive. There are no changes to the approved public parking stalls that will be provided on Gibraltar Drive, adjacent to the park. The park will have a large grass area for activities and seasonal events, a tot lot area for 2-5 year olds that will have a "natural" play apparatus and two play structures, and another play area that has a faux rock with climbing net play structure and a swing set. The park will also contain seating areas, barbeques, picnic areas, shade trees, and native, drought-tolerant planting throughout the park. Staff notes that drinking fountains will be provided, but are not illustrated on the design plans. Please refer to Image 4 on page 5, or Attachment 2.
