Public Comment <br /> Angelina Summers recalled a recent Pleasanton Weekly article concerning sinking of the Amador <br /> Theater and the extensive repairs that involve leveling, crack and plaster repair, and painting to both <br /> the interior and exterior of the building. Her home suffers the same fate, with initial costs just for leveling <br /> coming in at $14,000. She said she believed the cause of the damage to be the pumping of wells <br /> beneath Pleasanton, which affected several areas within the city, and expressed surprise that no <br /> property owner has initiated a class action suit against the City Of Pleasanton and Zone 7. She <br /> encouraged the city and Zone 7 to work together to find a solution to the problem. She also noted the <br /> San Jose Mercury News recently reported on a 6-foot wide sinkhole which stopped ACE train service <br /> east of the Pleasanton station for several hours. <br /> Sabari Samanathan, Amador Valley High School We the People Competition Civic Team, reported that <br /> the team recently won the state championship and will be attending the national finals April 22-28th. The <br /> 22-member team comprises approximately 6 units and represents about 15,000 combined hours of <br /> study and preparation for the national finals. <br /> Mei White, Amador Valley High School We the People Competition Civic Team, added that their team <br /> would be competing against approximately 1,500 other students from over 50 schools across the <br /> nation. She stressed the importance of community support and said what an honor it is for them to <br /> represent both the Pleasanton and the state. She extended a formal invitation to a fundraiser <br /> supporting the program on March 23rd from 7-9 p.m. at the Firehouse Arts Center. <br /> Janeen Brumm, Sunflower Hill Board of Directors, thanked all of those who attended last week's <br /> priorities setting meeting to support Sunflower Hill in Pleasanton.
