SECTION 3 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND REPORTS <br /> 3-1 Office - The Contractor shall maintain an office or such other facility through <br /> which he/she can be contacted and from which he/she can maintain radio or pager contact with <br /> sweeping vehicles. It shall be equipped with sufficient telephones and shall have a responsible <br /> person in charge from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays. The <br /> Contractor shall also provide a 24-hour emergency contact telephone number. <br /> 3-2 Complaints - Complaints regarding the street sweeping operations, which the <br /> Assistant Director of Operations Services considers justifiable and the responsibility of the <br /> Contractor, will be referred to the Contractor for immediate attention. Within two (2) days, the <br /> Contractor shall submit to the Assistant Director of Operations Services a report of the action <br /> taken on each complaint. <br /> 3-3 Reports - Contractor shall submit a monthly report of curb miles swept. Reports <br /> to the City shall be submitted at the end of each month on forms provided by the City. <br /> 3-4 Global Positioning System (GPS) Tracking — All street sweepers shall have <br /> installed a Global Positioning Systems that will enable the City to view via computer Internet <br /> where the sweepers are at all times. The cost of the entire GP System will be the responsibility <br /> of the successful bidder and the system must be capable of the following: <br /> 1. The system shall be Internet based and the Contractor shall provide to the City two <br /> (2) accounts to have full access to the site. <br /> 2. The system shall be capable of gathering and reporting the following real time data; <br /> speed, direction, location on a map, address, distance traveled, brooms up or down, <br /> water on or off. <br /> 3. The sweepers' path of travel shall be superimposed on a map. <br /> 4. Generate daily reports of sweep activity including the items listed above. <br /> 5. Maintaining the data for a period of 90 days, after which data will be downloaded to <br /> the City for storage. <br />
