The transition to full implementation of a designated Haz-Mat Station will take place no <br /> later than June 30,2014. <br /> D. Procedures regarding staffing, assignments, training, withdrawal and other Haz-Mat <br /> specific topics will be included in Department policy. <br /> 31.2 Compensation <br /> Personnel assigned to the Hazardous Materials Response Team will be compensated at five percent(5%) <br /> above their respective base rates of pay, subject to MOU Section 5.1. <br /> 31.3 Withdrawal Process <br /> A Haz-Mat team member as defined in Section 31.1 shall be permitted to withdrawal from the Haz-Mat <br /> program after expiration of his/her five one (51) years of Haz-Mat service and with the approval of the <br /> Fire Chief. The withdrawal procedure outlined in the LPFD Haz-Mat Policy will govern the parameters <br /> of the withdrawal process. <br /> Section 32. Separability of Provisions <br /> In the event that any provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding is declared by a court of <br /> competent jurisdiction to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision of the Memorandum of <br /> Understanding shall be null and void, but such nullification shall not affect any other provisions of this <br /> Memorandum of Understanding, all of which other provisions shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> Section 33.
