Global Positioning System(GPS) <br /> Refers to the handheld unit that can be used to determine the longitude and latitude of sanitary sewer <br /> overflows for use in meeting CIWQS reporting requirements. <br /> Grease Removal Device(GRD) <br /> Installed and engineered device to allow for the separation of lighter oils and greases from discharges to <br /> sewers <br /> High Density Polyethylene Pipe(HDPE) <br /> Infiltration/Inflow(1/I) <br /> Refers to water that enters the sanitary sewer system from storm water and groundwater and increases <br /> the quantity of flow. Infiltration enters through defects in the sanitary sewer system after flowing <br /> through soil. Inflow enters the sanitary sewer without flowing through the soil. Typical points of inflow <br /> are holes in manhole lids and direct connections to the sanitary sewer (e.g. storm drains, area drains, <br /> and roof leaders). <br /> Lateral <br /> Refers to the piping that conveys sewage from a building to the City sewer system. The distinction is <br /> sometimes made between the upper lateral (from building to public right-of-way) and the lower lateral <br /> (from public right-of-way to the sewer main). <br /> Legally Responsible Official(LRO) <br /> Refers to the individual designated by the City to certify 550 reports on the CIWQS system. The LRO <br /> must be formally designated by the City and registered with the SWRCB. <br /> Manhole(M/H) <br /> Million Gallons per Day(MGD) <br /> Monitoring and Reporting Program(MRP) <br /> Refers to the revised monitoring and reporting requirements included in Order WQ 2013-0058-EXEC, <br /> dated September 9, 2013. <br /> Pleasanton Call Center and Communications Contacts <br /> The City of Pleasanton operates two communication centers. During normal business operations, calls <br /> are received by Pleasanton Call Center. During all other hours, calls are received by Pleasanton Police <br /> directly, the City's 911 system which is staffed 24/7.
