Community Services <br /> 6. Approved a one-time appropriation up to $250,000 from the Lower Income Housing Fund for a <br /> potential future PUSD grant to be used for new or updated facilities for special-housing needs for <br /> underserved children in Pleasanton <br /> Councilmember Narum requested language reflecting an expenditure of"up to" $250,000 and indicating <br /> that availability of any unused funds would expire after a period of twelve months. <br /> Councilmember Cook-Kallio supported the first request, which she thought was easily inferred, but <br /> expressed concern that twelve months might not be sufficient time for PUSD to act upon the grant. <br /> Mr. Fialho explained that this is an appropriation only, with the scope of work coming back to both the <br /> PUSD Board and CC for review and approval at a later time. He suggested that two years would be a <br /> more appropriate time limit from both a policy and governmental accounting perspective, noting that the <br /> City's auditors will require that the funds be unappropriated and returned to the fund balance at the end <br /> of 24 months if not used. <br /> Councilmember Narum indicated her acceptance. <br /> Finance <br /> 7. Accepted the monthly disbursements and investment report for September 2014 <br /> Operations Services <br /> 8. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute an agreement with CleanStreet in the <br /> amount not to exceed $100,000 for city-wide street sweeping services <br /> Police <br /> 9. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 14-716 declaring as surplus one police sedan, <br /> and authorized the City Manager to execute an agreement donating said vehicle to Las Positas <br /> College <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Cook-Kallio/Narum to approve Consent Calendar as recommended and as <br /> amended.
