MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />October 21, 2014 <br />2 <br />Mayor Thome called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:09 p.m. Vice -Mayor Pentin led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Councilmembers Brown, Cook- Kallio, Narum, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br />Absent: None <br />CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br />City Attorney Lowell reported that the Council met in Closed Session regarding labor negotiations with <br />the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1974 and Pleasanton Police Officers Association. <br />No further reportable action was taken. <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />City Manager Fialho reported that Item 6 was moved to the regular agenda. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Community Development <br />1. Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br />2. Pulled from the agenda - Approve Final Map, Improvement Plans and the Subdivision <br />Agreement for Tract 7975; Heritage Grove located at 4238 First Street <br />Community Services <br />3. Approved the appointments of Nicole Tsuno as Teen Poet Laureate for Amador High School and <br />Maya Lyubomirsky as the Teen Poet Laureate for Foothill High School for a term for each is one <br />year <br />4. Reviewed and approved the two proposed designs for "Project Paint Box" <br />Economic Development <br />5. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 14 -712 Levying the Pleasanton Downtown <br />Business Improvement District Assessment for 2015 and approved renewal of the agreement <br />between the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Downtown Association to administer the <br />Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District <br />Fire <br />6. Moved to the regular agenda - Adopted resolution declaring as surplus two fire engines, and <br />authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Pleasanton Downtown Rotary to donate <br />these engines to Pleasanton's Sister City, Tulancingo, Mexico <br />
