This area has a General Plan Land <br />Use Designation of "Retail /Highway /Service Commercial; Business and Professional <br />Offices" which permits commercial uses. The northern portion of the project site is <br />an area abutting the 1 -580 EB Hopyard Road off -ramp that was CalTrans surplus <br />land before being purchased by the applicant. This area has a General Plan Land <br />Use Designation of "Open Space - Public Health and Safety ". The applicant has <br />requested an amendment of the Land Use Element of the Pleasanton General <br />7 <br />
