Initial Study and Negative Declaration <br />1) Former Caltrans surplus land - vacant; the applicant acquired the land in <br />July 2013; <br />2) 61 1 1 Johnson Court - office uses; <br />3) Pleasanton Square 11 Shopping Center - various commercial uses, <br />including a hotel, and a fast -food restaurant with drive - through service <br />Figure 2 below is an aerial showing project location and surrounding land uses. <br />Figure 2: Project Aerial and Surrounding Uses <br />rciaU" • <br />4 "V <br />2.4 PLEASANTON GENERAL PLAN <br />The southern portion of the project site would include a portion of the existing <br />office parcel located at 6111 Johnson Court. This area has a General Plan Land <br />Use Designation of "Retail /Highway /Service Commercial; Business and Professional <br />Offices" which permits commercial uses. The northern portion of the project site is <br />an area abutting the 1 -580 EB Hopyard Road off -ramp that was CalTrans surplus <br />land before being purchased by the applicant. This area has a General Plan Land <br />Use Designation of "Open Space - Public Health and Safety ". The applicant has <br />requested an amendment of the Land Use Element of the Pleasanton General <br />7 <br />
