NOTICE OF ELECTION RESOLUTION NO. 1711. Whereas, in accordance with the provisions of the State law governing municipal elections, it becomes the duty of the council Of the Town of Pleasanton to give notice of such election and to perform such other acts as are required by law; now therefore, Be it Resolved by the Council of the Town of Pleasanton, that public notice is hereby given that an election will be held in the Town of Pleasanton on Tuesday, the 9th day of April, A.D., 1940 for the purpose of electing Three (3) councilmen to One (1) clerk to serve the following officers: serve for the full term of fo ur years; for the full term of four years; One (1) treasurer to serve for the full term of four years; Be it further Resolved that said election be conducted in accordance with law and that said election be held in one precinct to be known as consolidated Election Precinct "A", said consolidated precinct to be ccmposod of three election precincts in the Town of Pleasanton, the boundaries of such precincts to be the same as those prescribed by the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County for State end County elections; and Be it further resolved, that the polling place of said precinct shall be at the Odd Fellows Hall, on the south side of St. Marys Street, between Main St., and Pleasanton Avenue in the Town of Pleasanton, California; and that said polls shall remain open for eight (8) consecutive hours, to-wit from 1~:30 o'clock A.~. until 6~30 o,clock P.M. and be it Further Resolved that the town clerk be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to cause to be pu~liahed in the Pleasanton Times such notices as are required to be published by law in conjunction with the aforesaid election;
