A lot has changed in the last year since this last meeting. In particular,the lack of water we are now aware of, and the need for future planning.Why don't we take this money that is going to be spent on the study right now, and divert it to help figure out our future water needs? Daniel Smith's assessment of our current water problem is quite the eye opener.Why don't we try and shelf this Historical District agenda right now? $70,000 could be better spent on the dire water issue. I think the public would rather see this money go towards the water problems, wouldn't you agree? It may not be that much money right now, but if we try and make better use of these "little expenditures" here and there, it all adds up. More specifically, the following items are scheduled for discussion: • Approve an agreement with Architectural Resources Group, Inc. to complete the comprehensive resource survey of the older residential structures in the Downtown Specific Plan Area;
