Presentation of a Proclamation proclaiming September 2014 as "Adult Literacy Awareness Month" Penny Johnson, Senior Librarian, stated that all library staff and volunteers are proud to be celebrating the 30th anniversary of California State Library Literacy Services, through which public libraries throughout the state offer free, confidential and one-on-one tutoring in adult basic education.
