MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> July 15, 2014 <br /> Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Narum led <br /> the Pledge of Allegiance provided introductory remarks. <br /> Mayor Thorne noted that Councilmember Cook-Kallio was attending the meeting via teleconference. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Brown, Cook-Kallio, Narum, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Lowell reported the Council met in Closed Session with labor negotiators to discuss <br /> negotiations with the International Association of Firefighters Local 1974. No reportable action was <br /> taken. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Manager Fialho stated that Item 19, which relates to a construction contract for the conversion of <br /> Old Vineyard Avenue into a pedestrian trail, is continued. Staff is deferring the matter for approximately <br /> one year in order to coordinate the project with other construction activities expected to occur next <br /> summer. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved regular meeting minutes of June 3, 2014, regular and special meeting minutes of June <br /> 17, 2014 <br /> City Manager <br /> 2. Approved the designation of Mayor Thorne as the voting delegate for the 2014 League of <br /> California Cities Annual Conference <br /> Community Development <br /> 3. Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> 4. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with <br /> Environmental Science Associates (ESA) for services involving the preparation of an <br /> Environmental Impact Report (ER) for the Johnson Drive Economic Development Zone in the <br /> amount not to exceed $142,326, and related Reimbursement Agreement with Nearon Enterprises, <br /> LLC; and authorized the City Manager to execute a reimbursement agreement with Nearon <br /> Enterprises for reimbursement of all costs associated witht the professional services agreement <br /> with ESA subject to minor modifications approved by the City Manager and City Attorney <br /> 5. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute professional services agreements with <br /> Hexagon Transportation Consultants, Inc., Whitlock and Weinberger Transportation, Inc. (W- <br />
