Design Tech Associates/George and Mary Schmitt <br /> Application for Administrative Design Review approval to undertake the following to the <br /> existing dwelling located at 554 Hamilton Way: (1) construct an approximately <br /> 781-square-foot single-story addition to the rear of the house; (2) construct an <br /> 88-square-foot, 13-foot, 6-inch tall covered front porch; (3) construct an approximately <br /> 614-square-foot second-story addition with an approximately 177-square-foot <br /> second-floor deck; and (4) change the overall roof pitch of the home including raising <br /> the height of the ridge line and peaks by 1-foot, 9-inches to 7-feet, 4-inches. Zoning for <br /> the property is R-1-6,500 (One-Family Residential) District. <br /> Action recommended: Continue the application and direct the applicant to modify the <br /> plans to mitigate view impacts on the adjacent neighbor, or <br /> deny the application. <br /> Action taken: The Commission continued the item, per staff recommendation, with a <br /> timeframe of six months to complete the design modification. <br /> Vote: 4-0-1. <br /> P14-0440, 2015-2023 Housing Element Update <br /> A request to review the 2015 - 2023 Draft Housing Element update to the General Plan <br /> and consider a recommendation to the City Council to approve submittal to the State of <br /> California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), including a <br /> review and discussion of housing programs and policies and available housing <br /> inventories. <br /> Action recommended: Recommend to the City Council that it authorize submittal of the <br /> 2015-2023 Draft Housing Element to the State Department of <br /> Housing and Community Development (HCD) <br /> Action taken: Recommended that the City Council authorize the submittal to HCD, per <br /> staff recommendation, with a modification that the density for the <br /> CM Capital site be reduced to 12.5 units per acre and a corresponding <br /> adjustment to the housing sites inventory. <br /> Vote: 4-0-1. <br /> Submitted by: Approved by: <br /> Brian Dolan Nelson Fialho <br /> Director of Community Development City Manager <br /> Page 3 of 3 <br />
