ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 14- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN, AS FILED UNDER <br /> CASE P14-0421, REGARDING A CHANGE IN LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR <br /> 4202 STANLEY BOULEVARD FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br /> TO RETAIL, HIGHWAY, AND SERVICE COMMERCIAL; <br /> BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL OFFICES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for a General Plan Amendment <br /> to modify the General Plan Land Use designation on a 0.23-acre site at 4202 Stanley <br /> Boulevard from Medium Density Residential to Retail, Highway, and Service <br /> Commercial; Business and Professional Offices to expand the permitted uses of an <br /> existing home from residential only to residential, limited commercial, personal service, <br /> and/or office uses (the "Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting on July 23, 2014 <br /> adopted Resolution PC-2014-36, determining that the proposed General Plan <br /> Amendment is appropriate for 4202 Stanley Boulevard, making findings, and <br /> recommending to the City Council that P14-0421 be approved; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 19, 2014, the Pleasanton City Council held a duly noticed <br /> public hearing on this application and considered all public testimony, agenda reports, <br /> and related materials, and the recommendations of City staff and the Planning <br /> Commission; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council adopts an amendment to the Land Use Element <br /> of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025, as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto <br /> and made part of this resolution by reference. <br /> SECTION 2. The City Council determines that this is one of the four times in <br /> 2014 that the Land Use Element of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025 may be <br /> amended as provided in Government Code Section 65358. <br /> SECTION 3. The City Council finds that this amendment to the Land Use <br /> Element of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025 is part of the Project and further <br /> finds that the previously prepared EIR for the Pleasanton 2005-2025 General Plan <br /> which was certified in July 2009 and SEIR, including the adopted CEQA Findings and <br /> Statement of Overriding Considerations, prepared for the Housing Element Update and <br /> Climate Action Plan General Plan Amendment and Rezonings, are adequate to serve <br /> as the environmental documentation for this Project and satisfy the requirements of <br /> CEQA. <br />
