ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN, AS FILED UNDER CASE P14-0421, REGARDING A CHANGE IN LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR 4202 STANLEY BOULEVARD FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO RETAIL, HIGHWAY, AND SERVICE COMMERCIAL; BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL OFFICES WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for a General Plan Amendment to modify the General Plan Land Use designation on a 0.23-acre site at 4202 Stanley Boulevard from Medium Density Residential to Retail, Highway, and Service Commercial; Business and Professional Offices to expand the permitted uses of an existing home from residential only to residential, limited commercial, personal service, and/or office uses (the "Project"); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting on July 23, 2014 adopted Resolution PC-2014-36, determining that the proposed General Plan Amendment is appropriate for 4202 Stanley Boulevard, making findings, and recommending to the City Council that P14-0421 be approved; and WHEREAS, on August 19, 2014, the Pleasanton City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on this application and considered all public testimony, agenda reports, and related materials, and the recommendations of City staff and the Planning Commission; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. The City Council adopts an amendment to the Land Use Element of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025, as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made part of this resolution by reference. SECTION 2. The City Council determines that this is one of the four times in 2014 that the Land Use Element of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025 may be amended as provided in Government Code Section 65358. SECTION 3. The City Council finds that this amendment to the Land Use Element of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025 is part of the Project and further finds that the previously prepared EIR for the Pleasanton 2005-2025 General Plan which was certified in July 2009 and SEIR, including the adopted CEQA Findings and Statement of Overriding Considerations, prepared for the Housing Element Update and Climate Action Plan General Plan Amendment and Rezonings, are adequate to serve as the environmental documentation for this Project and satisfy the requirements of CEQA.
