ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 14- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE DOWNTOWN SPECIFIC PLAN, <br /> AS FILED UNDER CASE P14-0420, REGARDING A CHANGE IN <br /> LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR 4202 STANLEY BOULEVARD FROM <br /> MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO DOWNTOWN COMMERCIAL <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for a Downtown Specific Plan <br /> Amendment to modify the Downtown Specific Plan Land Use Designation on a 0.23- <br /> acre site at 4202 Stanley Boulevard from Medium Density Residential to Downtown <br /> Commercial to expand the permitted use of an existing home from residential only to <br /> residential, limited commercial, personal service, and/or office uses (the "Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting on July 23, 2014 <br /> adopted Resolution PC-2014-35, determining that the proposed Downtown Specific <br /> Plan Amendment is appropriate for 4202 Stanley Boulevard, making findings, and <br /> recommending to the Pleasanton City Council that P14-0420 be approved; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 19, 2014, the City Council held a duly noticed public <br /> hearing on this application and considered all public testimony, agenda reports, and <br /> related materials, and the recommendations of City staff and the Planning Commission; <br /> and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council adopts an amendment to the Downtown Specific <br /> Plan Land Use Designation, as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made part of <br /> this resolution by reference. <br /> SECTION 2. The City Council finds that this amendment to the Downtown <br /> Specific Plan Land Use Designation is part of the Project and further finds that the <br /> previously prepared EIR for the Pleasanton 2005-2025 General Plan which was <br /> certified in July 2009 and SEIR, including the adopted CEQA Findings and Statement of <br /> Overriding Considerations, prepared for the Housing Element Update and Climate <br /> Action Plan General Plan Amendment and Rezonings, are adequate to serve as the <br /> environmental documentation for this Project and satisfy the requirements of CEQA. <br />
