TO PROVIDE THIRD-PARTY <br /> ADMINISTRATION OF WORKERS' COMPENSATION PROGRAM <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City of Pleasanton currently utilizes the services of a third-party administrator, <br /> Innovative Claim Solutions, Inc. (ICS), to manage and process claims administration, <br /> and meet reporting and compliance requirements for the City's workers' compensation <br /> program. The City entered into a three (3) year agreement with Innovative Claims <br /> Solutions in June 2011. Staff is recommending that the agreement be extended for an <br /> additional year, until June 30, 2015. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve an amendment to the professional services agreement with ICS for one (1) <br /> year, to provide third-party administration for workers' compensation claims for the City <br /> of Pleasanton, and authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The proposed administrative fee for the one (1) year agreement is $169,102.00. There <br /> are sufficient funds in the 2014/2015 FY Administrative Services Budget to cover the <br /> cost of the amendment. <br />
