AB 1147 Assembly Bill-Bill Analysis Page 15 of 35 <br /> or any other representative of a local government agency with <br /> responsibility for regulating or administering <br /> a local ordinance relating to massage, to provide information <br /> concerning a certificate holder, as specified. <br /> 50)States that upon request of the CAMTC, any law enforcement agency <br /> or any other representative of a local government agency with <br /> responsibility for regulating or administering a local ordinance <br /> relating to massage or massage establishments is authorized to <br /> AS 1147 <br /> Page 20 <br /> provide information to the CAMTC concerning an applicant or <br /> certificate holder, as specified. <br /> 51)Requires the CAMTC to accept information provided by any law <br /> enforcement agency or any other representative of a local government <br /> agency with responsibility for regulating or administering a local <br /> ordinance relating to massage and review that information in a <br /> timely manner. <br /> 52)Provides the CAMTC with the responsibility to determine whether the <br /> school, continuing education provider, or provider of education for <br /> massage establishment operators from which an applicant has obtained <br /> the education required, meets the requirements as specified. <br /> 53)States that if the CAMTC has any reason to question whether or not <br /> the applicant received the education that is required from the <br /> school or schools that the applicant is claiming, the CAMTC will <br /> investigate the facts to determine that the applicant received the <br /> required education prior to issuing a certificate. <br /> 54)Authorizes the CAMTC to charge a reasonable fee for the inspection <br /> or approval of schools, continuing education providers and massage <br /> establishment operator education providers, provided the fees do not <br /> exceed the reasonable cost of the inspection or approval process. <br /> 551Requires the CAMTC to develop policies and procedures governing the <br /> requirements and approval process for schools, continuing education <br /> providers, and massage establishment operator education providers <br /> provided the fees do not exceed the reasonable cost of the <br /> inspection or approval process. <br /> 56)states that the superior court of a county or competent <br /> jurisdiction may, upon petition by any person, issue an injunction <br /> or any other relief the court deems appropriate for a violation, as <br /> specified. <br /> 57)states that the provisions of this chapter are severable, as <br /> specified. <br /> 58)Requires, on or before June 1, 2016, for the time period beginning <br /> January 1, 2015, the CAMTC to provide a report to the Legislature <br /> that includes all of the following: <br /> a) A feasibility study of licensure for the massage profession, <br /> including a proposed scope of practice, legitimate techniques of <br /> massage, and related statutory recommendations; <br /> AB 1147 <br /> Page 21 <br /> http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/13-14/bill/asm/ab_1101-1150/ab_1147_cfa_20140620_I I I 1 I5_sen_comm.Ilan l 7/3/2014 <br />
