CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

ORDINANCE NO. 926

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN EXEMPTION FOR REMNANT
PARCELS RESULTING FROM RESIDENTIAL ALLOCATION PROGRAM
APPROVALS

WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has conducted three Residential
Allocation Programs (RAP) deciding which residential
projects may be developed in the City of Pleasanton; and

WHEREAS, a number of remnant lots have been left without RAP
approval; and

WHEREAS, RAP selection criteria makes future approval of such..
remnants unlikely; and

WHEREAS, the RAP process has been modified to avoid such problems
in the future by allowing for multi-year phasing; and

WHEREAS, a one-time-only special exemption of such "remainder pro-
jects"' would alleviate the disadvantageous position of
these projects caused in part by previous operation of
the RAP and would be consistent with the intent of the
RAP by allowing development in areas already served by
captial facilities; and

WHEREAS, the increase in units above that estimated to provide an
"E-O" growth rate consistent with the General Plan cre-
ated by a one-time-only exemption is small and can be
acconmDdated by reducing subsequent years' residential
allocations;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ORDAINS
AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Sections 2-20.04 and 2-20.05 notwithstanding, a one-
time-only exemption from the Residential Allocation Program shall
be granted to the following projects, subject to their meeting
their respective promises contained in their RAP applications for
the 1980 building year:

PUD-79-9 10 Units
PUD-79-4 9 units
Tract 3187 16 units
Tract 3297 17 units
Northwood Homes Tract 3458 8 units
///
