Prior to any renovation, the City should evaluate each facility to determine whether such <br /> renovations or improvements have merit. Criteria may include but not limited to: current <br /> use; compare costs associated with current operations and maintenance with revenue <br /> generation; and projected growth and revenue potential post renovation <br /> Faculty Funding and Implementation <br /> Due to the overall scope of the improvements outlined in the Master Plan, it does not <br /> include specific or overall cost estimates. However, it does identify funding options <br /> which include traditional sources such as development impact fees, grants and <br /> development agreements with private developers, as well as alternative funding options <br /> including non-profit foundations, user fees, bonds, corporate sponsorships, adopt-a- <br /> park programs, special assessment districts. While the City has had significant <br /> success with financing capital expansion and renovation, the recommendations in the <br /> Master Plan will require additional prioritization and an extended time frame for the City <br /> to complete. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> Now that it is completed, the Parks and Recreation Master Plan will provide a <br /> framework for assisting the City direct resources toward parks, facilities and programs, <br /> as well successfully addressing future community recreational needs over the next ten <br /> (10) years. <br /> Submitted by: Approved by: <br /> Susan Andrade-Wax Nelson Fialho <br /> Director of Community Services City Manager <br /> Attachment: <br /> 1.
