ORDINANCE NO. 2094 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ADDING <br /> CHAPTER 17.26 OF TITLE 17 AND AMENDING CHAPTERS 18.36 AND 18.88 OF <br /> TITLE 18 OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO COMPLY WITH THE 2012 <br /> CLIMATE ACTION PLAN PERTAINING TO TRANSIT INCENTIVES AND DEDICATED <br /> PARKING SPACES FOR ALTERNATIVE VEHICLES, AS FILED UNDER CASE P14- <br /> 0001 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a Climate Action Plan on February 7, 2012; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Climate Action Plan includes a number of strategies, goals and actions <br /> for reducing municipal and community-wide greenhouse gas(GHG) emissions; and <br /> WHEREAS, Action TR 1-6, TDM 2-7 and TDM 2-10 call for changes to the municipal <br /> development codes to provide transit benefits for residents, and provide dedicated parking for <br /> carpoolNanpool, car share, and other alternative vehicles; and <br /> WHEREAS, the adoption of the Climate Action Plan was part of the project which was <br /> described in the Supplemental Environmental Impact Report certified by the City Council on <br /> January 4, 2012, and the proposed amendment is consistent with the Climate Action Plan and <br /> therefore no further environmental assessment need be conducted to adopt this code <br /> amendment; and <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 26, 2014, the Planning Commission <br /> recommended that the City Council amend Title 17 and Title 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal <br /> Code to provide transit benefits for residents, and provide dedicated parking for <br /> carpoolNanpool, car share, and other alternative vehicles; and <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 15, 2013, the City Council reviewed the report ofthe <br /> Director of Community Development and the recommendations of the Planning Commission <br /> regarding amendment of Title 17 and Title 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code regarding <br /> transit benefits for residents, and dedicated parking for carpoolNanpool, car share, and other <br /> alternative vehicles. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the proposed amendments to the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code are exempt from further environmental review and are consistent with the <br /> Pleasanton Climate Action Plan and the General Plan. <br /> SECTION 2. It amends Title 19 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code addressing the <br /> design of streets and cul-de-sacs as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated <br /> herein by this reference. <br /> SECTION 3. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) <br /> days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in <br /> the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the <br /> City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> 1 <br />
