Councilmember Narum encouraged the entire Council to participate next year. She also reported <br /> attending a recent board meeting for the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District, where she <br /> learned that uptake in the mosquito population has been one of the unintended consequences of <br /> residential rainwater collection. She encouraged residents to cover their collection bins. She also <br /> reported that the District has hired another temporary technician to help address the increased activity, <br /> most of which is occurring on this side of the hill. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:18 p.m. The Council extended a <br /> tribute to oil nation's men and women serving in the military.
