TDA 4.5 Document E(a) Page 8 The PPS Task Force meets quarterly and represents PPS users and social service agencies that are served by the program. This committee serves as a sounding board for new ideas and also seeks consumer input. As an advocacy group, the. committee members actively complete outreach for this service. The ninth annual PPS Transit Fair was held on March 17, 2014, and included transit providers from around the Bay Area. Residents will have an opportunity to learn more about a variety of transit resources. The Access Alameda Transit Guide, developed through Alameda CTC, is also distributed to all new paratransit clients and includes info on PPS. The City of Pleasanton web site (www.cityofpleasantonca.gov) includes a paratransit information page and the paratransit application. Local transit information is coordinated through collaborative marketing efforts with LAVTA. All Pleasanton Paratransit Services printed materials include information about the services offered by LAVTA, and vice versa.WHEELS route information and passes are available at the Pleasanton Senior Center. The PPS Supervisor serves on LAVTA's Wheels Accessible Advisory Committee and attends regular meetings in an effort to maintain smooth operations and communications. Clipper Card registration for senior BART fares is also coordinated at the Pleasanton Senior Center. Additional staff time has been allocated to complete 40 annual outreach and education sessions to local senior housing complexes, community organizations, and the local business community in an effort to market PPS services. Special event transit articles are featured in local newspapers and websites. PPS is listed in the Tri-Valley Pocket Guide for Human Services that was distributed to over 8,000 people in both Spanish and English. The use of social media will be implemented and include program updates via City of Pleasanton website and E-newsletter.
