CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 907 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMEIDING ARTICLE 10 OF CHAPTER 2 (TRAFFIC <br /> CONTROL DEVICES AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO VEHICULAR <br /> AND PEDESTRIAN MOVEMENT) OF TITLE V (VEHICLES AND TP~FFIC) <br /> OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RELATING <br /> TO THE TITLE BY WHICH THE ORDINANCE SHALL BE KNOWN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council on February 28, 1978, adopted Ordinance 846 <br /> relating to horse traffic in the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance 846 was sponsored by then Mayor Robert C. Philcox; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the adoption and enactment of Ordinance 846 could not have <br /> been accomplished without the determined perseverance of <br /> Robert C. Philcox; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ORDAINS <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That from now and henceforth Article 10, Chapter 2, of <br />Title V of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton shall be known as <br />the "Robert C. Philcox Memorial Horse Traffic Ordinance." <br /> <br />Section 2. A copy of this ordinance shall be placed in the Ordinance <br />Code of the City of Pleasanton immediately preceding Article 10, Chap- <br />ter 2. <br /> <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days <br />after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br />Section 4. This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) <br />days after its adoption in "THE TIMES," a newspaper of general circu- <br />lation, published in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on September 11, 1979. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on September 18, 1979, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mercer Wood and <br /> Mayor Brandes ' <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: None ~~~C.~/~~ ~ <br />ATTEST: ~ ~~ <br /> ~.~~ ~ F BRANDES, J~. ,~ May~r~ <br /> <br />Cl~ton E.
