MINUTES CITY OF PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL February 18, 2014 Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Pentin led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmembers Brown, Cook-Kallio, Pentin, Mayor Thorne Absent: Councilmember Narum CLOSED SESSION REPORT City Attorney Lowell reported the Council met in Closed Session on three items. On two items the Council conferred with legal counsel regarding anticipated litigation. Thirdly, the Council met with labor negotiators to discuss negotiations with the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1974 and Pleasanton Police Officers Association.No further reportable action was taken on any item. AGENDA AMENDMENTS City Manager Fialho stated that. Item 7, Public Hearing: P13-2028 was continued by the applicant to March 4, 2014. CONSENT CALENDAR Administrative Services 1. Approved regular and special meeting minutes of January 21,2014 Community Development 2. Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission 3. Waived second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 2089 amending Chapter 18.88 (Off-Street Parking Facilities) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to modify parking requirements in exchange for fulfilling objectives of the Downtown Specific Plan, as filed under Case No. P13-2458 Operations Services 4. Approved an appropriation in the amount of $118,698 to DSRSD from the City's Recycled Water Fund for the recycled water related improvements included as part of the Val Vista Park Recycled Water Retrofit Project 5. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a professional services contract with SMB Environmental, Inc. in the amount of $49,924 for environmental review of the Recycled Water Project; and approved an appropriation of$49,024 from the Recycled Water Fund MOTION: It was m/s by Brown/Cook-Kallio, to approve the Consent Calendar, as amended.
