The existing
pool plumbing within the concrete deck area, beneath the 25 meter pool and in the
maintenance building was completely removed and replaced with new piping. The pools
were renovated, re-plastered and brought up to current ADA compliance for
accessibility with additional points of ingress and egress. The existing mechanical
building was demolished and a new addition to the existing building was constructed to
house the new pool mechanical equipment and provide a secure location for the
required chemicals. LED pool and deck lighting were installed and landscaping that
serves as an extension of the pool's deck area was added. Construction and renovation
of the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center Project is complete and ready for acceptance.
RECOMMENDATION
1.
