ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14- A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FIXED AND UNIFORM REFUSE COLLECTION RATES FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2013 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton (City) and Pleasanton Garbage Service, Inc. (Contractor) have entered into the Refuse Collection Agreement (Franchise) dated March 6, 1989 for the exclusive regular curbside collection, transportation and disposal of dry garbage, refuse and recyclable material from the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 9.20.090 of the City of Pleasanton Municipal Code, rates for Franchise services shall be set by a resolution approved by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, Contractor shall conduct all billing related to construction, transportation, recycling and disposal of said garbage and refuse in strict accordance with rates listed in this Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. The fee schedule set forth in Resolution No. 12-582 is hereby rescinded. SECTION 2. The rates for the regular curbside collection, transport and disposal of dry garbage, refuse and recyclable material, including recycling, from the City of Pleasanton for Commercial Services, Residential Services and for Transfer Station Services, are revised effective April 1, 2014 as outlined in Exhibit A. SEC TION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on March 18, 2014.
