RESOLD~ION t.lo. 1900 W~REAS there is now pending before the california Horse Racing Board a petition for a license authorizing the construction of a horse racing track upon lands lying south of the State High- way and between the pleasanton-Santa Rita Road and the ~topyard Road in ~he Township of pleasanton, County of ~%lameda, State of California and authorizing the holdin~ of horse racing meets there- on, and ~ WHI~REAS the Town of pleasanton ~nd the farming area sur- rounding the Town of pleasanton has long been noted as a center for the raising and training of race horses and for the production of feed required for the same, and ~.?~REAS the construction of said race-track and the holding of horse racing meets thereon will stimulate said industry of breeding, raising and training thoroughbred horses and produc- ing agricultural products required for the same in the vicinity of the Town of pleasanton, NOW T?~0RE BE iT R~SOLVED by the council of the TO~,n of Pleasanton that construction of said proposed horse racing track and the holding of horse racing meets thereon will be to the interest of the public in the To~n of pleasanton and vicinity, and - BE IT FURTH~ RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution, duly attested, be forwarded to the california Horse Racing Board and presented at the hearing of said petition before said Board and that said Board be advised that the City Council of the Town of Pleasanton is in favor of granting said petition. --- :o0o.--, - I~RODUCED at a special meeting of the Council of the Town of pleasanton held on the 2$rd day of 5~arch, 1946, and upon motion by Councilman man Hansen AYES: Councilmen Trimingbam Brenner-- , seconded by Council- , was adopted by the followin~ vote: Brenner, 0xsen, Hansen, l~[ezza~ NOES: Councilmen None ABSE~.~: Councilmen I~one Attest / ~/ ~Y0/R OF THE TO~.~i~ C:.F ~5L~qSA~ITON.
