RESOLUTION NO. 14-658 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER <br /> 18.88 (OFF-STREET PARKING FACILITIES) OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE, AS FILED UNDER CASE NO. P13-2458 <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 4, 2014, the City Council considered a proposed <br /> Negative Declaration dated December 19, 2013 for amending Chapter 18.88 (Off-street parking <br /> facilities) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code allowing the City to modify parking requirements in <br /> exchange for fulfilling objectives of the Downtown Specific Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the Negative Declaration, dated December 19, <br /> 2013, and received the recommendations of staff and the Planning Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on February 4, 2014, at which time <br /> the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the code <br /> amendment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br /> applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of the Negative Declarations; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed code amendment would not have <br /> any significant adverse effects on the environment. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the proposal to amend Chapter 18.88 (Off-street <br /> parking facilities) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code allowing the City to modify parking <br /> requirements in exchange for fulfilling objectives of the Downtown Specific Plan will not have any <br /> significant adverse effects on the environment; and approves the Negative Declaration for code <br /> amendment. <br /> SECTION 2. City staff is directed to cause a Notice of Determination to be filed <br /> pursuant to Section 5.4(g) of Resolution No. 77-66. <br /> SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on February 4, 2014. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 4th day of February <br /> 2014, by the following vote: <br /> 1 <br />
