AND GATES + <br /> ASSOCIATES FOR $58,750 FOR ADDITIONAL ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY <br /> ANALYSES AND OTHER SERVICES RELATED TO PREPARATION OF <br /> THE EAST PLEASANTON SPECIFIC PLAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> IMPACT REPORT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> In September 2012 the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a <br /> Professional Services Agreement with Rasmussen Planning and Gates + Associates, to <br /> prepare a Specific Plan for East Pleasanton. The budget was for a total of $751,766 <br /> which included a contingency of $68,342. Use of the contingency is limited to items not <br /> included in the original scope and requires prior written approval of the City. With <br /> oversight by an East Pleasanton Specific Plan Task Force, work on the plan has <br /> progressed over the last 18-months. During that period of time, several tasks not <br /> included in the Scope of Work and original budget, were authorized from the contingency. <br /> Staff is now seeking approval of an amendment to the Professional Services Agreement <br /> in the amount of $58,750 for additional services including economic feasibility analyses <br /> not included in the original contract. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Authorize the City Manager to execute the first amendment to the Professional <br /> Services Agreement with Rasmussen Planning Inc. and Gates + Associates, to <br /> add $58,750 to the original amount of $751,766 (for a total of $810,516) for <br /> services related to preparation of an East Pleasanton Specific Plan and EIR. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> All consultant costs for this project are being paid by the two major private land owners in <br /> the East Pleasanton Specific Plan Area. Planning review and administration is being <br /> conducted by staff and is part of the Advance Planning budget. <br />
