THE CITY OF 6 <br /> •- - CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> February 4, 2014 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH PMC <br /> FOR $60,000 FOR SERVICES IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE UPDATE OF <br /> THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Staff is requesting approval of a professional services agreement with PMC to provide <br /> planning services for preparation of an updated Housing Element of the General Plan. <br /> The contract amount is $60,000 consisting of $53,445 for the scope of services (not <br /> including optional services) provided in Attachment 2 and a $6,555 contingency for <br /> services not specifically included in the scope. Expenditure of this contingency will <br /> require written authorization in advance from the City. The schedule for completion of the <br /> Housing Element work included in the scope of work is consistent with the deadlines <br /> imposed by the State for the fifth housing element cycle. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with PMC in <br /> the amount of $60,000 to complete a Housing Element update consistent with State <br /> housing law. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The cost of $60,000 (including contingency) will be funded from the Lower Income <br /> Housing Fund. <br />
