RF~OLUTION NO. 22?9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PLE~SA[,~TOi~, CALiFo[i~I~, STATING T}VE ~.ESULT OF ~{E CANVASS OF ~E ~ECTION t~:E~U~S OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND YLECTION H~D ~ ~ ~U~DAY, THE 17th DAY OF MARCH, 1955 ~{EHEAS, the City Council oft he Town of Pleasanton by Ordi- nance No. 223, duly called and provided for th~ holding of a special municipal bond election to be held in said Town of Pl~asanton on Tuesday ~hsll?th day of ~arch~ 1953~ for the purpose of s~bmitting to the quali- fied voters of said Town of Pleasanton the proposition set forth in said ordinance and hereinafter stated; and ~EDEaS, notice of said election was duly given in time~ form and manner as provided by law and said election was on said day held at the precinct designated in said ordinance, and said election was duly and l~gally Beld and conducted and the votes cast thereat canvassed and the returns thereof made at the time an~ in the manner provided by law; and WY'E~f~S, on this 24th day o£ Marc~, 1953, the first Tuesday after said date of said election at the hour of eight (8) o'cloc~ P.M. of said day, said City Council of said Town of Pleasanton bas duly assembled in regular adjourned meeting at the usual meeting place of said City Council in the City Yall in said Town of Pleasanton, a~d has canvassed said returns of said election, NO}. £E~t.EFoRE, B~ iT RE~OLVE~ by the City Co~:cil of the Town of Pleasanton that a special nm~cipal bond election for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the TowI~ of Pleasanton the said proposition in said ordinance and hereinafter set forth: was duly callem and ordered to be held on Tuesday, the 17th day of ~arch, 1953, by said Ordinance No. 223, and that notice of said electio~ was duly given in time, form and manner as provided by law, that said election was on said Tuesday, the l?th day of ~%arch, 1955, duly and legally h~ld and conducted and the votes cast thereat canvassed and the returns thereof made at the time and in the form and manner required by law; and BE IT F~R'I'I{~ I{E~OLVED, that the proposition set forth in said Ordinance I4o. 223 and voted upon at said election was: PI~OPOSITION A: Shall the Town of Pleasanton incur a bonded indebted- ness of ..1115,000.00 to pay the cost of the acquisition, construction and completion of the following municipal improvement~ to wit: Improvement of the municipal water system~ including a new water reservoir~ trans- mission and distribution lines, pipes, valves, fittings, wells, pumps, mac!'.inery, apparatus, equipment, lands, easements, rights of way and other works, property or structures necessa.ry or convenient for the improvement of the mu~icipal water system of the To~n of Pleasanto~i? and L]{Et~EAS~ for the purpose of ~olding and conducting said' municipal bond election on said day~ it was ordered by said Ordinance No. 223 that all the three regular election precincts last established within the corporate limits of the Town of Pleasanton for State or County elections be consolidated and one votin% precinct within the corporate limits of the Town of Pleasanton be formed and established and to be known and designated at Consolidated Voting Precinct 1, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that fr~n said returns it appears
