RESOLUTION NO. ~ CIVIL DEFENSE AND DISASTER I~ESOLUTZ0N. W~EA$. ordinance No. ~ of tho Town of Pleasanton relating to civil defense and disaster provides that tho civil defense and disaster organization, the distribu- tion of civil defense powers and duties, the assig~ment of functions and services and the recruitment, direction and training of personnel shall be proscribed by resolution adopted concurrently with the adoption of said ordinance, now therefore, bo it RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Ploasanton as folXows: SECTION 1 . The civil defense and disaster organization of this city shall be as hereinafter more particularly described and as shown on the attached chart marked Exhibit A and entitled. #Suggested Model l~cal Organisation of Civil Defensee. Said Exhibit A, including all information shown thereon, is as much a part of this resolution as if the mat®rials and infor~ation set forth by said exhibit were all fully described herein. SEUTION 2. DIVISION 0F OPERATING ~ERVICES. There is hereby created a Division of Operating Services. For the purposes of civil defense planning amd organization, the chief of eac~ operating service within this division shall be responsible to the director through the assistant: director of civil defense and disaster, Within this division, there shall be the following civil defense and disaster services= (1) fire servtce~ (2) law enforcement service, which shall include the plant protection service; (3) engineering service, which shall include utility service, shelter protection and rescue service~ (~) health services, which shall include special weapons defense; and, (~} mass care service (emergency welfare service}, -1-
