RESOLUTION NO. 2186 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION 0F THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> TOWN OF PLEA~ANTON ,ADOPTING A #USE <br /> TAX# RULE. <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: The following rule is hereby adopted as <br /> <br /> of the Use Tax Rules and Regulations of the Town of <br /> <br />Rule / <br />lmleasanton: <br /> <br /> RULE NO. <br /> <br /> COLLEGTION AND PAYMENT OF USE TAXE~ <br /> <br /> (a) Whenever a retailer is required to collect the use <br />tax imposed by Ordinance No. ~/t~ , he shall do so by using <br />the following schedule which co.mines the California Sales or <br />~se Tax with the Town use tax in such a manner as to produce an <br />average tax return of one-half of one percent (1/2 of 1~) on all <br />purchases subject to the TOWn uso tax: <br /> <br /> (b) The retailer shall segregate the Town use tax so <br />collected and shall report and remit it to the Town at She Slmes <br />specified in said Ordinance No. ~/~ . The retailer is <br />required to report and remit only the actual taxes so collected <br />and segregated, regardless of the percentage relationship of <br />these taxes to the gross receipts; provided, that if he shall <br />elect to pay the Town one-half of one percent (1/2 of 1~) of his <br />gross receipts (excluding sales ~d use taxes) from sales sub- <br />ject to tax, he shall not be required to segregate such use tax <br />receipts from his other receipts. <br /> <br /> SEOTION 2.
